About Us

Better Vibes Therapy, LLC is a sole proprietary mental health counseling practice located in St. Petersburg, Florida.  We are a private practice offering individual and group therapy, couples counseling, expressive art therapy (individual and group), performance enhancement & life coaching.  We have recently added an additional service to our practice called “Let’s Clean Up."

  

Our founder, Patricia Harris (Trish), LMHC, has been working to enhance the quality of life for clients since 2012. With so many life altering changes in our society in the past few years it is inevitable that individuals, couples, and organizations will endure difficulty adjusting.  This can often result in increased symptoms of anxiety including panic attacks, symptoms of depression including hopelessness, low motivation and sadness, and conflict within relationships inside and outside of the home. 

 

Better Vibes Therapy is a progressive therapeutic service that focuses on a positive psychology paradigm instead of the disease model of mental health.  What does this mean?  This means that instead of focusing on “what is wrong with you,” we develop a strategic treatment plan that will help to guide you into utilizing these things as a strength and discovering how to make life choices that fit you instead of changing YOU to fit into life.  Isn’t that exciting?

Let’s look at ADHD for example.  ADHD is characterized by difficulty focusing, hyperactivity, and difficulty controlling impulse.  Translation – an abundance of misguided and controlled energy.  With a little guidance and self-discipline, adult ADHD can be a huge benefit once the client learns how to redirect energy and practice self-discipline. 

 

Better Vibes Therapy offers virtual sessions exclusively.  Virtual sessions allow increase access to mental health care for people in remote areas and flexibility in the location of our sessions.  Imagine having a therapy session on your lunch break.  Imagine you and your significant other attending a couple’s session at the same time from two separate locations.  Imagine meeting with a diversity of people in our amazing groups.  This is what we mean by progressive.
